I’ve always been picky about which skincare products I use.  My skin tends to be dry and sensitive around my cheeks but oily in the T zone so I have to be careful with what products I use.  Since I am in my thirties, I am also more concerned about using a product to combat the signs of aging.  Recently, I visited COS BAR in Market Street, here in The Woodlands to check out their luxury skincare.  Be sure to check out the bottom of this post for details on the Market Street Blogger Crawl Aug 3rd!

Getting ready for the Blogger Crawl with Fancy Ashley

We’re excited to hang out with one of our favorite local bloggers (who will also be at the August 3rd Blogger Crawl!!!), Ashlee Lastovica of Fancy Ashley! Hey, Ashley! Hows it going? We’re 1 week out from the Blogger Crawl! How excited are you? I am super excited to be a part of this year’s blogger crawl! I live in The Woodlands and spend a lot of time on Market Street! It’s one of my favorite places to shop and eat in my area. You’re partnering with Kate Spade. What trends have you been loving, in general, this season at Kate Spade or any other store? I am a huge lover of COLOR! So, Kate Spade is such a natural fit for me! This summer has been all about the florals and blush pink! Fall is coming soon and there are some great staples that I am loving lately! Everyone needs the perfect pair of jeans and booties and a great military jacket! Those staples are sure to be worn again and again during the fall and winter seasons! You’re from The Woodlands, along with a few of the other bloggers. What are some of your favorite haunts to take people to when they come visit this area? One of my favorite restaurants in the area is Perry’s Steakhouse. That is our favorite date night spot. We also love Trulucks! It has a great view of the lake! To shop, we usually head to Market Street for Mai Tai’s at Tommy Bahamas and then shop around there and usually end across the street at Nordstrom. I also love Pure Barre, so when people come to visit, I usually drag them to a class or two! Just ask my mom! 🙂 You’re on so many people’s blog rolls…who’s on yours? I’ve met some great people through blogging and I’ve been doing this almost 6 years now, so I’ve had the opportunity to meet lots of great gals. I always read my friends’ blogs, Mix and Match Mama, Sheaffer Told Me To, Edit by Lauren, Honey We’re Home, CStyle Blog and House of Harper. There’s more, but that’s just a small sample of the ones I try to catch up on when I can! Meet Ashley and 9 of your other favorite Houston bloggers on August 3rd at the Blogger Crawl! RSVP, here

DIY Wine Journal & Recap of H-E-B Wine Walk

One thing I love about The Woodlands/Houston is all of the events! There arealways so many things going on. A couple weeks ago, was Wine & Food Week in The Woodlands, TXand H-E-B hosted a Wine Walk throughout Market Street! It was SO much fun and the perfect girl’s night. Not only was there a ton of food and wine, but even the stores had wine inside of them! (I could get used to that!)I had no idea, but apparently this is a yearly thing – so next year if you live this way, you should definitely check it out. I know I will be back for sure!

Minnie Mouse Themed Birthday Party Wardrobe with GAP Kids

This past weekend my daughter Camilla celebrated her 2nd birthday and it was all I could do to keep it together at the thought of my baby growing one year closer to leaving me one day for some boy.  Nevertheless the birthday princess needed a party and what’s more she needed to look good for it!  To know Cami is to know that she LOVES all things Minnie Mouse, so a Minnie Mouse themed birthday party was a no-brainer.

Trina Turk Off the Shoulder Top

Happy Hump Day y’all! Today I’m sharing this look from Trina Turk with you guys! It’s funny, I’m usually a sucker for neutrals, but something happens when I walk into a Trina Turk store. It’s like all of a sudden I’m into bright pinks and turquoises, especially in the spring and summer!

3 Ways To Embrace Change And Do It In Style

Change is hard for a lot of people.  I know that sounds cliché but it’s kind of just a fact of life.  I know for a certain relative of mine who will remain nameless the stress of something new effects her in the form of fever blisters, neck or back spasms, and/or a cold!  For a handful of others change is a welcomed fact of life that is moderately easy to embrace.  I think that I fall in with the latter when it comes to a lot of new experiences, mainly because #yolo!  Lately however a lot of changes have been happening in my life all at once. Perhaps it is because we just hit a season change and Spring signifies new beginnings! I am newly pregnant again and recently found out that I will be having a boy.  This is mind blowing to me because coming from a family of all girls, I know nothing about boys!  New business opportunities are knocking on my husband and I’s front door not to mention new opportunities to grow as a writer and blogger.  I don’t proclaim to have it all figured out in the area of change but I can offer you 3 ways that I  try to welcome it.

Screen Shot 2017-04-19 at 1.42.10 PM

Hey Y’all! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! John and I went to Lafayette, Louisiana for Easter this year to spend time with his Aunt and cousins. We were only there for a couple days, but we had the BEST time. Our weekend consisted of a crawfish boil, the coolest coffee shop ever, shopping, exploring the cutest little neighborhood ( totally wish I lived in one of these adorable homes!) & we finished the weekend with dinner, live music, and drinks at Sugar Fest where I wore this super cute, flowy dress from Madewell in Market Street – The Woodlands. It was my favorite outfit from the entire weekend, so you know I had to share!

Hottest Sunglasses This Season

Hi Gang! Summer is officially on it’s way and I can’t wait to show you the best sunglasses for women this season.  I partnered with Sunglass Hut in Market Street The Woodlands to show you the hottest styles and most universally flattering shapes.  I think we can all agree that sunglasses are a must have accessory.  Besides protecting our eyes from the suns rays, sunglasses also hide a multitude of sins.  Can we say dark circles and no eye makeup?!?
