After working my tail off and really sticking to a workout routine over the spring, summer came along and I slacked off. Next thing I knew, I hadn’t worked out in over a month. I am a horrible self-motivator when it comes to working out.
Happy Hump Day friends! Today’s post is a little different…I’m sharing my kids’ style with y’all! I absolutely LOVE picking out clothes for my kids. I remember when I was pregnant with Liv, everyone was so excited for me because they knew I would have so much fun dressing a little girl. And let me tell you, it definitely is fun (when she actually lets me, these days that’s rare). But I actually really love picking outfits for Mason as well. Little boys don’t have quite as many options as girls, but there is still some seriously cute stuff out there for them! We are regulars at our local Gap Kids at Market Street – The Woodlands for sure!
Two of my favorite fall trends this season are bell sleeves and lace. Lace is feminine and delicate while the bell sleeves make any top a little more interesting. I have a few birthday dinners and day time meetings to attend and wanted a top to fit the occasion. Ya’ll know I love a deal and I found the most gorgeous lace top for under $50.
Happy Hump Day babes! Today I’m talking about Alex and Ani jewelry! I had never actually been in an Alex and Ani store until one recently opened up in Market Street – The Woodlands near our home. In fact, it was my best friend who took me in there for the first time. She was looking for a gift for her mom, so while she was shopping I did some browsing too. All of their pieces have different meanings which I love, because they make the perfect gifts! I ended up leaving with this simple little bracelet gold, and it has quickly become one of my go-to pieces for when I don’t want to wear a lot of jewelry.
Andrea, here! I want to formally introduce myself before I make my way south to Market Street to host my Dope Mom Summit!
This past year, I’ve combined my love of comedy and passion for helping moms with my Dope Mom Tips and working as a Parenting Coach. Since going viral on my web series, I’ve decided to spread my tips for finding more joy and freedom in motherhood through deep transformation and comedy with my traveling summits. H-town are you ready?
If there is one thing this pregnancy has taught me, it’s that being creative when it comes to dressing the bump is a must. I’ve stuck rubber bands in my pant button loops to add more room with my regular jeans, and I have shopped for regular size clothes and purposefully purchased one size up with the idea that I would tailor it down a size when pregnancy is over. I have also found that once the first trimester fog is over and you emerge from your cave of saltines, and ginger ale, sweat pants, and over-sized tees, you want to look cute again! I have found great success in shopping brands I love that have great pieces (mainly dresses) that can easily go from straight body types to maternity and back again. While doing a little shopping on Market Street in The Woodlands, I popped into Kate Spade (one of my favorite designers) and found the perfect versatile dress great for when I am bumpin’ it and when I am back to my normal size in a few months. This dress is perfect for anyone at any size and gives you 4 different looks in 1!
I’ve always been picky about which skincare products I use. My skin tends to be dry and sensitive around my cheeks but oily in the T zone so I have to be careful with what products I use. Since I am in my thirties, I am also more concerned about using a product to combat the signs of aging. Recently, I visited COS BAR in Market Street, here in The Woodlands to check out their luxury skincare. Be sure to check out the bottom of this post for details on the Market Street Blogger Crawl Aug 3rd!
One thing I love about The Woodlands/Houston is all of the events! There arealways so many things going on. A couple weeks ago, was Wine & Food Week in The Woodlands, TXand H-E-B hosted a Wine Walk throughout Market Street! It was SO much fun and the perfect girl’s night. Not only was there a ton of food and wine, but even the stores had wine inside of them! (I could get used to that!)I had no idea, but apparently this is a yearly thing – so next year if you live this way, you should definitely check it out. I know I will be back for sure!
